The Crowd Notebook is designed by Philip Schaake, part of German team Sense Studio. The concept is two iPads with a hinge between them. This means that the union of two boards with touch screen with a hinge and called a notebook. It features a range of special usage technique together with a slate pattern, notebook design, and also a configuration where the display screen and the keyboard are detached.With a stress on the notebook's rear cover, the most important feature is that the PC is even capable of operating when closed. Without opening the device, users can check information on the PC-status or engage in online activities with friends in a very intuitive and poetic way.

By putting a token on the touchpad will activates the 'interactive playgroud'. Depending on the mode, different sized avatars represent friends who are online or display a history of web-sites you have visited. The sizes of avatars are determined by the frequency in which you have contacted a certain person or have entered certain web-sites in the past. This interface provides the user with a very clear and graphically based overview of his/her recent online activities.
