Luce in Italian means light. That is why this laptop-pc is called Luce. It is double solar panel powered laptop-pc made from clear polycarbonate. The solar panels are placed at the top and bottom of this laptop. This will help to provide power to the laptop. The laptop will continuously charged during the day either in standby mode or being used. This wireless device is cable free, powered by nature, and represent the future for a sustainable development focused on user's real needs. Luce is also one of the projects from Fujitsu Design Competition 2011.
This laptop is light-as-air. The elegant design allows sunlight to shine straight through the case to the two panels. After mega quake in Japan, the designer realized how important to develop natural self-powered devices in future. As electricity prices continues to climb and solar technology steadily advances, this design will help to save the electricity cost.
